Still, I know there will be plenty of obstacles in our way. We've never let it stop us before -- on so many of the big issues we've taken on, from health care to immigration to climate change, we've made real, undeniable progress. Before the year is out, I want to say thank you. You're doing your part, staying engaged. When it's easy to get frustrated or cynical, you refuse that choice. This has never been about winning at politics. You and I are here to try to do what we can to help make people's lives better -- in big ways and small. And we are. Just this year, millions of Americans signed up for affordable health care coverage. We're making it possible for eligible undocumented immigrants to come out of the shadows, contribute more fully to our economy, and help keep their families together. And we've taken smart, proactive steps to protect our communities from climate change, and help stop the carbon emissions that are contributing to it. The Open Analytical Chemistry Journal is an open access online journal which publishes original research articles, reviews and guest edited thematic issues representing important scientific progress from all areas of analytical chemistry. It is indexed in all major indexing databases such Chemical Abstracts, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open J-Gate, Genamics JournalSeek, MediaFinder^®-Standard Periodical Directory, EMBASE, Scopus, PubsHub, J-Gate and Index Copernicus.

In addition to regular articles, the journal also publishes thematic issues on contemporary themes which are guest edited by eminent scientists. 

It is my pleasure to invite you to submit a proposal to guest edit a thematic issue for The Open Analytical Chemistry Journal.  Thematic issues consist of 6 to 20 articles (all review articles or a mixture of review and research articles) from leading international contributors from technologically advanced countries. The Guest Editors' main editorial tasks are to invite the contributors and to manage the peer- review of all submitted manuscripts. Your written proposal should outline the importance of the theme selected for your issue, and list the names and affiliations of all possible contributing authors as well as the date of submission for publication of the entire issue. Your proposal will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and the publishers and a decision whether or not to publish will be sent to you promptly.

All articles of your guest edited Thematic Issue would be published FREE of all author open access fees.
